Thanh Tri has a new Chairman of the District People's Committee

TPO - Thanh Tri District People's Council elected Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phong, Deputy Secretary of Thanh Tri District Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee for the 20th term with 100% of the votes in favor.

On August 21, the People's Council of Thanh Tri district, term XX, 2021-2026, held a thematic meeting to elect the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee and approve investment policies and adjust investment policies for a number of projects under the authority of the District People's Council.

Previously, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee issued Decision No. 6886-QD/TU dated May 31, 2024 approving Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong (born in 1972), Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Tri District, to hold the position of Secretary of the Thanh Tri District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

City leaders congratulated Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phong on being elected Chairman of Thanh Tri District People's Committee.

The Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee also issued Decision No. 7060-QD/TU dated August 2, 2024 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on transferring Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phong to stop participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, stop holding the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hoang Mai District Party Committee, appoint him to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Tri District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; introduce him to be elected as Chairman of the Thanh Tri District People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

At the meeting, Thanh Tri District People's Council dismissed Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong from the position of Chairman of Thanh Tri District People's Committee, term XX, 2021-2026.

Thanh Tri District People's Council also elected Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phong, Deputy Secretary of Thanh Tri District Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee for the 20th term with 100% of delegates in favor.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Thanh Tri District People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Phong thanked the district People's Council delegates for their trust and confidence.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phong promised to continue to cultivate, practice, study, and inherit the experiences of previous generations of leaders. At the same time, he will work with the district People's Committee to promote the strength of the entire political system and the support of all classes of the district's people to continue to build the district to become more and more developed.
