Farmers regularly clean their barns to prevent disease in their animals.
According to information from the Department of Agriculture (Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tay Ninh), the work of assessing and re-assessing disease-safe facilities is carried out regularly, according to plan and close to the actual needs of livestock farmers.
This ensures that farms maintain good hygiene and biosecurity conditions and meet disease prevention standards as prescribed.
Currently, the province has 92 facilities that have been granted disease safety certificates. Of these, 73 poultry farms have been certified disease safety, including 44 chicken farms certified for H5N1 and Newcastle avian influenza; 24 chicken farms and 5 duck farms certified for H5N1 avian influenza.
These are all dangerous diseases that can spread rapidly and cause great damage to production if not strictly controlled.
Regarding the pig farming group, Tay Ninh has 18 farms certified for disease safety, including 14 farms meeting safety standards for foot-and-mouth disease, classical swine fever and African swine fever; 3 farms certified for the above diseases and additionally for blue ear disease; 1 farm certified for safety only for African swine fever.
At the same time, the province has a cattle farm certified as disease-free for foot-and-mouth disease, infectious abortion and tuberculosis - diseases that have negative impacts on livestock health and productivity.
According to the authorities, developing a network of disease-safe facilities helps control epidemics more effectively and improve the quality and value of livestock products.
This is also a favorable condition for Tay Ninh's livestock products to meet export standards, expand consumption markets, and at the same time contribute to ensuring food safety and protecting public health./.
