In May 2025, units under the Government Inspectorate conducted 17 inspections, of which 3 were preparing to issue inspection conclusions. In addition, 10 inspections were preparing reports and draft inspection conclusions; 4 were conducting direct inspections.
The Central Citizen Reception Office in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City received 509 visits with 1,251 citizens regarding 498 cases. The total number of petitions to be processed in the month was 1,358, of which 1,289 petitions were classified and processed. The Government Inspectorate leaders periodically received citizens in May 2025 regarding a number of citizen cases in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong, in May 2025, the Government Inspectorate deployed work according to the program and work plan and achieved many positive results.
Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong requested to continue implementing the Conclusion of General Secretary To Lam on resolving prolonged complaints and denunciations that have gone beyond the central level in Hanoi.
Working Groups No. 2 and No. 3 of the Government Inspectorate sent documents and worked with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to conduct inspections and direct 5 localities on the remaining 6 cases in the group of 29 cases directed by the Working Group.
The local departments continue to closely follow and coordinate with localities to guide and urge the implementation of plans, conclusions and directions of the Prime Minister's Working Group. At the same time, urge localities to report and synthesize, report to the Department of Planning - Synthesis to develop a general report to send to key leaders according to regulations.
Regarding the implementation of the Project "reorganizing the inspection agency system to be streamlined, strong, efficient, effective and efficient", relevant Departments, Divisions and units continue to advise, guide and implement personnel policies and regimes during the implementation of the arrangement; advise competent authorities to arrange working headquarters for the Government Inspectorate after the arrangement; develop plans to arrange and organize working headquarters of units; plan to purchase equipment for work... to ensure strictness, economy and compliance with regulations.
Regarding inspection work, the Departments assigned to preside over the inspection will continue to implement the 2025 Inspection Plan and assigned surprise inspections; speed up the issuance of inspection conclusions, especially inspections assigned by the Steering Committee and the Prime Minister.
The Planning and Synthesis Department shall preside over and coordinate with the Departments to review, revise and supplement the 2025 inspection plan and submit it to competent authorities for consideration and approval. In June, the adjustment of the inspection plan must be basically completed, in accordance with changes in administrative boundaries, mergers of agencies and units, and in accordance with the inspection force, scale and nature of the inspections when transferring from inspection of ministries to the Government Inspectorate for implementation.
Strengthen coordination between central agencies participating in citizen reception at the Central Citizen Reception Office, ensuring that citizens coming to the Office are received and guided according to regulations, and that citizens' petitions and letters are promptly processed.
At the same time, closely coordinate between the Headquarters, the Central Citizen Reception Committee and localities to grasp the situation of citizens' complaints, propagate and mobilize citizens to return to their localities to contribute to ensuring stable security and social order.
