“In a few days, many leaders and key officials of Dak Nong will have to pack up and return to their new duties in the new province. Everyone must make every effort to integrate into the new conditions. Everyone must continue to try and strive to complete all assigned tasks well.”
That was the direction of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi at the conference to evaluate the socio -economic development situation and ensure national defense and security in the first 6 months of the year, held on the afternoon of June 25.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed that there is very little time left to operate the two-level government. Departments, branches, and localities must focus on determination and resolve all backlogs before June 30, 2025.
In the first 6 months of 2025, with the spirit of "running and queuing at the same time", the People's Committee of Dak Nong province has resolutely and regularly closely monitored the implementation of tasks of sectors and localities. Many socio-economic indicators of the province in the first 6 months achieved positive results.

The province's economic growth in the first 6 months reached 7.9%. State budget revenue reached 2,317 billion VND, reaching 69.99% of the local estimate, up 54% compared to the same period last year. Industrial and agricultural production sectors had good growth compared to the same period.
The cultural and social fields are given attention, social security is ensured. National defense, security, foreign affairs and social order and safety are consolidated and enhanced. There are no hot spots in security, politics and social safety in the province.

However, Dak Nong's biggest difficulty remains the disbursement of public investment capital. As of June 6, 2025, the disbursement rate of public investment capital has only reached 15% of the capital plan. Some projects identified as growth drivers in 2025 have yet to be operational.
Key projects and works are behind schedule. The implementation of the establishment and adjustment of the general planning of Gia Nghia city is still behind schedule. The work of land inventory and mapping of current land use status of some projects is slow.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing difficulties and problems that need to be resolved. For example, resolving policies and regimes for officials and civil servants according to Decree 177 and 178; slow investment disbursement, etc.
Regarding the regime of cadres, civil servants and public employees, Director of the Department of Home Affairs Do Tan Suong said that the leave regime according to Decree 178 is chaired by the Department of Home Affairs.

“We have processed all qualified applications in accordance with regulations. Currently, the Department is coordinating with the Department of Finance to calculate and pay benefits to officials and civil servants. For cases that do not meet the requirements, the unit will return the application for supplementation and processing in July 2025,” said Mr. Suong.
Regarding public investment, Director of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board Ha Sy Son shared that many projects are currently stuck in site clearance. For example, the Dao Nghia - Quang Khe Road Project; Dak Nong Provincial Museum, Library and Park Project; and the Central Square Project are currently being implemented slowly due to heavy rain.

“Currently, in addition to site clearance, a number of other difficulties have been basically resolved. We are promoting many solutions to speed up capital disbursement for projects,” Mr. Son emphasized.
Regarding the disbursement of capital for national target programs, there are currently 120 billion VND that have not been transferred to units for disbursement. The reason is due to mergers and consolidations between districts, communes, etc.
"We propose that the Provincial People's Committee direct districts and specialized departments to finalize data to transfer capital to units, avoiding the prolonged situation when merging new provinces, which will cause difficulties in the transfer process," said Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Nguyen Ngoc Thach.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that in the first 6 months of 2025, the province achieved many encouraging results. This is the result of efforts from the province to units and localities.
Looking back on the past, Dak Nong is basically proud of the results achieved in the socio-economic field. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his gratitude to all the leaders and officials of the province who have united and joined hands to achieve these results.
“In a few days, Dak Nong will merge with Lam Dong and Binh Thuan. The responsibility is great, the work is heavy, forcing us to be proactive and flexible to keep up with that momentum. Each cadre must change their thinking and vision to stand shoulder to shoulder with their friends in the two new provinces. Let us prove that, although we come from a small, difficult province, our capacity and intelligence are not inferior to anyone. If we can do that, I believe that all of us will reap many successes in the coming time,” emphasized Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi.
