On the occasion of the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day June 21 (1925 - 2024) and towards the Festival for Peace , this morning June 19, Editor-in-Chief of Quang Tri Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association Truong Duc Minh Tu visited and presented the author's book to the "Aspiration for Peace" Reading Room of the Quang Tri Provincial Writers Association at 26 Tran Hung Dao, Dong Ha City.

The number of books donated includes 30 copies of 3 memoirs “Under the Ancient Citadel”, “Memory River” and “Back to the Old River Wharf”. The events and characters in the 3 memoirs of author Truong Duc Minh Tu are viewed accurately, in detail, subtly, and delicately, filtered through the soul of a writer. Each page of the author’s writing is imbued with the breath of life, love of life, love of humanity, and passionately poetic, always attracting readers.

On this occasion, Editor-in-Chief of Quang Tri Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association Truong Duc Minh Tu, on behalf of poet Le Thi May, presented 10 copies of "Selected Works", a selected collection of poems by poet Le Thi May, former Editor-in-Chief of Cua Viet Magazine.

Le Thi May's poetry revolves around the biosphere of the mind's space towards her homeland, always closely intertwined with the sense of time; it is a deep, lyrical, affectionate voice, the sweet joy released from her kind heart and life...

Head of the Quang Tri Provincial Writers Association Nguyen Huu Quy thanked the leaders of Quang Tri Newspaper as well as author Truong Duc Minh Tu and poet Le Thi May for donating valuable books, contributing to adding books to the reading room to continuously meet the needs of readers better and better.

The “Aspiration for Peace” reading room currently has more than 2,000 books in many different fields, arranged scientifically and appropriately, according to each field, making it easy for readers to find and choose. Writers in the association take turns to be on duty and serve readers in the reading room.

On this occasion, the Quang Tri Provincial Writers Association is preparing to launch the book “Aspiration for Peace” by many authors on the occasion of Quang Tri Province organizing the For Peace Festival. The book includes 55 works, which are profound messages about the aspiration for peace of the nation and humanity.
