Strengthening propaganda on forest fire prevention and fighting

Faced with the situation of severe, prolonged hot weather over a large area, the risk of forest fires increased, the Forest Rangers of Lao Cai province have stepped up propaganda and inspection work on forest fire prevention and fighting.

As of August 15, Lao Cai Forest Rangers had conducted 1,114 propaganda sessions in villages, with 71,256 participants; 529 mobile propaganda sessions; and 316 forest fire prevention and fighting inspections.

In August 2025 alone, the provincial Forest Protection force organized 162 forest fire prevention and fighting propaganda sessions, with 8,850 participants; 194 mobile propaganda sessions; and 75 forest fire prevention and fighting inspections at the grassroots level.

Along with that, the Provincial Forest Protection Department directed its subordinate units to strengthen forest management, protection, forest fire prevention and fighting; maintain forest fire prevention and fighting equipment and works; be ready to mobilize and participate in fire fighting when a forest fire occurs.
