At this event, publishing units from Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, etc. signed cooperation agreements with Ly Giang Publishing House to translate and publish literary works from these countries in the Chinese market.

Translator Nguyen Le Chi, representative of Chibooks, the unit that signed the cooperation agreement with Ly Giang Publishing House, said: “Chibooks is very honored and proud to have made a small contribution to bringing Vietnamese literature to the world after many years of efforts to “find the way”. After signing the above project, we will select a number of Vietnamese literary works to translate into Chinese with you and publish in China. This is my dream in particular and that of the entire Chibooks team as well as publishers in general, and it has now come true”.

This is the first project to introduce Vietnamese literature books officially launched by the Vietnamese publishing industry to the billion-people market, after the first two Vietnamese cultural books were published in November 2024, "Vất qua nhung ngan may" (author Do Quang Tuan Hoang), and "Nguoi Ha Noi , stories of eating and drinking in the past" (author Vu The Long).

Previously, translator Nguyen Le Chi, representing Chibooks, also signed a cooperation MOU (memorandum of understanding) with Guangxi Ethnic Publishing House, committing to focus on introducing and publishing books on indigenous culture typical of the Vietnamese people for Chinese readers.

Not only making efforts to publish Vietnamese cultural and literary books, translator Nguyen Le Chi also strives to bring Vietnamese authors to exchange with Chinese readers. After the successful book launch in Nanning City in November 2024, she continued to bring author Do Quang Tuan Hoang to exchange with the Southeast Asian writers delegation from May 23 to June 4 in many cities in Guangxi and Guangdong provinces.

She also continuously introduces the latest Vietnamese cultural books to Chinese publishers and Southeast Asian publishers such as “Vietnam eats leisurely”, “A thousand years of Vietnamese tea” (author Do Quang Tuan Hoang), “Come back to Hue to eat”, “Hue old stories and old citadel”, “By the O Lau River” (author Phi Tan), “The Story of Mon”, “Saigon wandering nostalgia”, “Nha Trang in the most beautiful season” (author Dao Thi Thanh Tuyen), “A time of Hue’s mother” (author Nguyen Khoa Dieu Ha)…

The book “Vietnam Dressed in Leisurely Style” is expected to be completed in Chinese by August, and the book “A Thousand Years of Vietnamese Tea” is also being urgently translated. Both books are expected to be published and released in China in 2026.

Translator Nguyen Le Chi said that in the near future she will continue to bring Vietnamese authors and writers to China to interact with readers and students, in order to help Chinese people and readers understand and love Vietnamese culture and literature more.
