"That Summer with You is Forever" by writer and journalist Ho Diep Thanh Thanh became a phenomenon when it was reprinted just 5 days after its release at the end of 2024. This year, on the occasion of the anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day, the novel was once again reprinted with special features.

"That Summer With You Is Forever" was first released in October 2024. The book revolves around the love between a female doctor (Ha Vu) who has a fragile appearance but a passionate and enthusiastic heart, and a male volunteer (Hoang Phi), who is a patient with many hidden pasts. The love story of the two overcomes the fierce and harsh pandemic context, overcoming the fear of the line between life and death when the vaccine has not been widely available, becoming a beautiful symbol of love for life, love for couples and love for frontline forces.

The book is the author's feelings, emotions, wishes and aspirations for the white-shirt soldiers on all fronts against the epidemic and against diseases in general.

Immediately after its first release, the book sold out 1,000 copies in just 5 days and was reprint. This is the second reprint of "That summer with you is forever".

Author Ho Diep Thanh Thanh shares about the second reprint of the novel.

Author Ho Diep Thanh Thanh shared: “I chose this special occasion to republish “That Summer with You is Forever” because I wanted to once again pay tribute to the “white-shirt soldiers” during the Covid-19 pandemic, when the hustle and bustle of life seemed to be gradually sweeping everything away. I don’t want any of them to be forgotten. They deserve to be forever grateful. In my eyes, they are truly extraordinary white-shirt soldiers who contributed significantly to the country’s victory over the pandemic. It was those emotions that made me choose the perspective of the pandemic from the “epicenter” for my novel.”

In this re-release, “That Summer with You is Forever” is reprinted in 1,000 copies in two formats: paperback and limited edition hardcover. Of which, the limited edition hardcover is released with only 100 copies. Both versions have increased by nearly 100 pages compared to the first printing.

The increase of nearly 100 pages (from 562 pages to 656 pages) is because the book is reprinted with standard font size, to serve a wide range of readers. Previously, although it was considered a romance book about love between couples during the pandemic, the work received the attention of many older readers because of its ability to evoke realistic, vivid memories of an entire historical and social period. However, because the work had a slightly small font size, the author received many requests to... increase the font size of the novel from readers "wearing reading glasses". Learning from experience, in this reprint, Ho Diep Thanh Thanh and Dong Tay Culture Company Limited, the publisher of the work, "indulged" and printed it with standard font size.

Author Blue Butterfly is a journalist, currently working at the Capital Women's Newspaper. "That summer with you is forever" is her second "thick" novel, the writer admits to being "amateur" but chose to pursue the novel genre. Her previous novel was "Finding you among thousands of sparkling stars", also about the medical field.
