Epic light show celebrating 80th National Day at Hoan Kiem Lake

On the evening of August 29, Hoan Kiem Lake was lit up with the 3D Mapping program "Radiant Hanoi". The event recreated the heroic history, celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2, attracting a large audience.

The 3D Mapping light show "Radiant Hanoi" took place on the evening of August 29 at Hoan Kiem Lake. The event was directed by the Hanoi People's Committee. The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with Vietsoftpro Group Joint Stock Company (Vietsoftpro) to organize. This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Attending the program were Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son - Standing Member, Committee on Culture and Education of the National Assembly, Ms. Bach Lien Huong - Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports and other leaders.

Associate Professor Dr. Bui Hoai Son shared: “The 3D Mapping art performance program 'Radiant Hanoi' is a vivid demonstration of how businesses work with the city to develop products in the direction of cultural industry, applying modern technology to bring the public a special artistic experience. There, Hanoi's history and culture are recreated in an educational and emotional way, so that anyone - regardless of age or perspective - can find their own harmony and pride”.

The Turtle Tower shines brightly with 5 water screens erected on the surface of Hoan Kiem Lake, creating a large projection screen in the open space. The light blends with images, music... all creating the program "Radiant Hanoi" with new visual effects, full of emotions for viewers.

“Radiant Hanoi” impresses by recreating historical moments: from Ly Thai To’s Proclamation on the Transfer of the Capital, the legend of Hoan Kiem Lake with Le Loi returning the magic sword, to the August Revolution of 1945 and the moment President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square… There, the audience can relive the glorious moments of the country, when the light shines on the Turtle Tower, it is also the moment when history is awakened sacredly and radiantly.

The program also recreates familiar moments and sounds of everyday life. These are the sounds of vendors selling gifts every morning, the sound of cicadas in summer, the bustling laughter on the streets; the beautiful scenery of Hanoi in autumn, the beautiful image of the country in peace. Hanoi appears both heroic and familiar, with historical depth, but still retains its inherent romance, elegance and peace.

Mr. Dang Phan Diep - General Director of Vietsoftpro Company - Representative of the implementing unit, shared: "Hanoi is especially radiant with the crew. The 3D Mapping program "Bright Hanoi" will continue to take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 30 at Hoan Kiem Lake. This is an opportunity for the public and visitors to experience a brilliant light party, spreading pride and love for Hanoi - Vietnam.
