Tuyen Quang: Strengthening friendly exchanges with the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association

This is one of the key tasks proposed by the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Tuyen Quang province at the meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and summarize the Association's work in 2025 held on the morning of August 31.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the heroic history of the nation, the great achievements in 80 years of building and defending the Fatherland, emphasizing the spirit of solidarity and the great sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers; at the same time, affirming the close friendship between Vietnam and Thailand in many fields, contributing to promoting cooperation and people-to-people exchange between the two countries.

In 2025, the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Tuyen Quang province focused on strengthening the organization, developing members, mobilizing overseas Vietnamese to well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies; organizing many exchange activities, visiting and giving gifts to members in difficult circumstances and policy families; actively participating in major local events.

In the coming time, the Association sets out the key directions of promoting the spirit of solidarity and attachment of overseas Vietnamese to their homeland; stepping up people-to-people diplomacy, enhancing friendly exchanges with the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association; organizing activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Thailand diplomatic relations (August 6, 1976 - August 6, 2026); mobilizing the strict implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws, actively participating in socio-economic development, contributing to building Tuyen Quang increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

The ceremony took place in a solemn and warm atmosphere with special performances, expressing national pride and expectations for the sustainable development of the Vietnam - Thailand friendship.

It is known that the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association of Tuyen Quang province was established in 2013, after 10 years of going through 2 congress terms, 2014-2019 and 2019-2024.

Currently, the Association has 2 branches with 162 members. The Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Tuyen Quang province was established with the desire to contribute to strengthening the friendship and good cooperation between the State and people of Vietnam - Thailand, between Thailand and Tuyen Quang province. The Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Tuyen Quang province acts as a bridge to promote cooperation activities in economics , trade investment, tourism, culture, education, science, technology, and sports.

At the same time, proactively coordinate with the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Associations in provinces and cities in the country to promote the combined strength in people's foreign affairs activities. Focus on attracting and mobilizing overseas Vietnamese organizations and individuals living and working in provinces and cities of Thailand who have the passion, capacity and conditions to visit their homeland Vietnam in general, and to contribute intellectually and materially to the foreign affairs activities of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Tuyen Quang province in particular.
