Hanoi Traditional and Creative Space 2025, taking place at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC), Dong Anh, is the highlight of the series of activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. Right from the first days of opening (August 28), the event attracted a large number of visitors. Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh, Vice Chairmen of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vu Thu Ha, and Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Truong Viet Dung visited the Exhibition Space, demonstrating the deep concern of the City's leaders.

Cultural flow from tradition to modernity

With the theme “Tradition and Creativity”, the Space is arranged as a continuous flow from history to present and future. Six main areas have brought visitors a rich and vivid experience.

The Handicraft Space - "The Redness of Hanoi" and the Craft Village Space - "The Quintessence of Craft Streets" recreate the quintessence of the capital's crafts such as ceramics, lacquerware, and mother-of-pearl inlay. More than 1,000 traditional craft villages are honored through vivid performances. Visitors not only admire but also witness artisans at work, listening to them tell stories about their craft. Cultural symbols such as the One Pillar Pagoda and Khue Van Cac are skillfully recreated, reminding of the cultural depth of Thang Long. This is where past memories meet contemporary life, highlighting the enduring vitality of Hanoi's craft villages.

In addition, the Pioneer Technology Space represents a modern Hanoi through achievements in digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and smart management solutions. Advanced medical , transportation, and telecommunications applications are introduced, affirming the image of the Capital as a pioneer in innovation, rising to become the center of technology and creative industry of the country, ready to integrate with the world.

Culinary Space - "Hanoi Gifts" is a "treasure trove" of flavors, where visitors can explore and enjoy Hanoi's signature dishes. From Vong village green rice, Uoc Le ham, dried apricots, to lotus tea, Bach Diep lotus tea... Visitors not only get to enjoy them directly, but also have the opportunity to experience the preparation, and bring back gifts that are imbued with the soul of the Capital. This space quickly became the most attractive check-in and experience spot during the holidays.

Cultural Experience Space - "Source of Culture" is where visitors can "touch" the heritage. Activities such as writing calligraphy, making figurines, making fans, and making conical hats are organized, helping visitors better understand traditional values. The image of Saint Giong and symbols such as the Opera House, Quan Chuong Gate, and Dong Xuan Market appear, reminding visitors of the pride of a thousand-year-old Thang Long - Hanoi culture.

Finally, the Landscape Space - “Village in the City” recreates a corner of the Northern countryside in the heart of the city. With an ancient village gate, moss-covered communal house roof, and communal house yard performing ca tru, cheo, tuong, xam... Visitors feel like they are living in a rustic but sophisticated “old Hanoi”, where folk culture blends with the art of bonsai landscape and landscape plants.

Strong impression on domestic and foreign tourists

A representative of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade said that since the first days of opening, the Hanoi 2025 Traditional and Creative Space has welcomed thousands of visitors. A large number of Hanoians, tourists from other provinces and cities, and international friends have immersed themselves in this unique cultural and creative flow.

“I am really impressed with the way Hanoi combines traditional heritage and modern technology. This is a unique experience, different from many cities I have visited,” said British tourist Michael Brown.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Trang, a tourist from Hai Phong City, shared: “This is the first time I have witnessed artisans making pottery and figurines right at the Exhibition. I clearly see the talent of the craftsmen and love the traditional beauty of Hanoi even more.”

The event contributes to promoting the image of the Capital as a brave, modern and rich in identity, in line with the orientation of making Hanoi a UNESCO Creative City. During the opening period (August 28 - September 5), Hanoi Traditional and Creative Space 2025 is expected to welcome tens of thousands of visitors, becoming a cultural and creative destination not to be missed during the National Day holiday.
