Department of Health announced 3 types of fake drugs

According to the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health, the Department of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy has just inspected and made a record of the work at Phung Hung Traditional Medicine Store, located at 492 Tran Hung Dao, Ward 14, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City. Through the inspection, 3 types of counterfeit drugs were discovered: Su Tong massage oil, registration number V367-H12-10; Chanh Dai rheumatism oil, registration number V1624-H12-10; Chanh Dai rheumatism oil, registration number V131-H12-10, produced by Chanh Dai Traditional Medicine Production Facility located at 295 Nguyen Trai, Ward 7, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City.

Through verification, Chanh Dai Traditional Medicine Manufacturing Facility has not been granted a Certificate of Eligibility for Pharmaceutical Business by the Ministry of Health and has not been granted a Certificate of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for the production of herbal medicines and traditional medicines. Based on the provisions of Clause 33, Article 2 of the Law on Pharmacy, the above 3 types of drugs are counterfeit drugs.

To ensure safety for users, the Department of Health informs drug businesses and users in Quang Tri province about the above 3 counterfeit drugs. In addition, the Department of Health also announced the recall of level 3 drugs.

Accordingly, the nationwide recall of Ofleye Drops eye and ear drops (Ofloxacin 0.3%), lot number 011024, manufactured on October 25, 2024, expiry date October 24, 2027, manufactured by Medipharco Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.
