Department of Agriculture and Environment deploys forest investigation tasks in the province

On the afternoon of August 28, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa held a conference to deploy the task of forest investigation in the province. Attending the conference were leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Forest Protection Department, state forest owners, enterprises leased forests by the state and representatives of localities in the province.

Comrade Tran Ngoc Hieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment gave a speech directing the implementation of forest investigation tasks in the province.

Implementing the Forestry Law and the work of planning for sustainable forestry development, the Provincial People's Committee has issued Decision No. 200/2025 approving the outline and budget estimate for implementing forest survey tasks in the province to determine the area, forest reserves, carbon reserves and conduct forest change assessments, update forest data to update the information system, serve the management, planning and rational use of forest resources, as a basis for building forestry development policies, livelihoods for people living near forests, contributing to improving the effectiveness of state management in the forestry sector, ensuring the goal of sustainable forestry development...

According to the plan, from now until November 15, the consortium of contractors (consulting units) of the South Central and Central Highlands Forest Planning and Investigation Sub-Institute, the Center for Remote Sensing and Information Technology will coordinate with units and localities to carry out forest investigation tasks in the province.

Conference scene.

At the conference, delegates exchanged and discussed a number of issues to effectively implement forest investigation work. The leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment requested relevant departments, branches, units and local authorities to closely coordinate, provide full information, and create favorable conditions for this forest investigation work.
