According to Engadget , Google has recently officially introduced the Pixel Fold - the first product marking the company's entry into the foldable smartphone segment. Like previous foldable devices, the Pixel Fold has a vertical hinge that allows it to open like a book.

ENGADGET SCREENSHOT

When folded, users will get a more traditional form factor with a 5.8-inch display. When unfolded, users will get a larger 7.6-inch display for multitasking or watching videos . Both OLED panels have a 120Hz refresh rate and come with the Tensor G2 chip found in the Pixel 7 series last year. The product also attracts attention with its thinness of just 12.1mm when folded and 5.8mm when unfolded, battery life of more than 24 hours, and weight of 283 grams. The company also claims the device has a hinge with almost no gap.

But when it hits shelves, the Pixel Fold will face stiff competition from Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold4, a company that has been making foldable smartphones for a long time. To better compare the two products and make your choice easier, let’s put them on the scale of specifications.

Of course, the specs aren't everything when it comes to whether the Pixel Fold or Galaxy Z Fold4 is better, as it all depends on the user experience. In addition, the Galaxy Z Fold4 is about to be replaced by the Galaxy Z Fold5 this summer, so users have a reason to delay shopping for a while longer if they are still hesitant to spend money on the Pixel Fold.
