Within the framework of the workshop, delegates were provided with an overview of the activities of the broadcasting sector in the past year by state management agencies; listened to speakers and experts provide information on the listening and viewing trends of Vietnamese audiences and television advertising trends in Vietnam, and on measuring audiences and listeners in the digital media era.

Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam emphasized that the Ministry of Information and Communications will accept recommendations and proposals, and at the same time have specific plans to report to the Government, amend documents, and issue new policies, thereby actively innovating State management activities on radio and television, creating momentum for the development of radio and television stations.

“In June, the important thing is to submit a revision to the list of public career services using the State budget in the field of information and communication. In which, a series of tasks, non-existing spending caps, and transmission costs on all infrastructures, from traditional to network infrastructure, will be added. Without this, digital transformation of the press will not be possible, and we will protect this,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam.
