Vietnamese stars support the new song of Van Mai Huong

On July 29, singer Van Mai Huong officially released the MV Uot long - the opening project for her 5th studio album that she has been cherishing to release this year. The song was written by musician - music producer Hua Kim Tuyen and produced by producers DuongK, Harosé based on Van Mai Huong's love confessions.

Before the official release date, the song achieved Top 1 Itunes Vietnam (pre-order).

This music product of the hit-making duo Van Mai Huong - Hua Kim Tuyen has many new elements. Hua Kim Tuyen said that the project team often jokingly calls Uot long Bole-Pop music when mixing a bit of Bolero into Pop music, but in fact it is the Rumba rhythm of Latin music combined with Bossa nova. The song also evokes the retro, nostalgic music of Vietnam in the 60s and 70s.

“This song breaks the structure of modern pop music, where most songs are around 2-3 minutes long to make them easier to post on social media, but Uot long is 4 minutes and 39 seconds long. This is a step in the opposite direction because we want to keep the song's emotions intact and not focus on trends,” said Hua Kim Tuyen.

Wet heart was arranged by DuongK and the song's mastering was done by Randy Merrill - a Grammy award-winning sound engineer who has produced albums for many world superstars such as: Taylor Swift, Lady GaGa, Adele, Ariana Grande...

Regarding the visuals, the MV was directed by Nguyen Hai Nguyen and the crew of The Tripod Guys, with the participation of the talented Thien Minh. The MV is like a memory of a beauty when touching on the familiar moments and melodies of love. The music blends with the nostalgic footage, evoking many emotions.

Collaborating with Thien Minh for the first time in an MV, Van Mai Huong said that the two have had a close relationship for 16 years and have witnessed many ups and downs in work, life and love, so they work well together. She hopes that the authentic material used to build the song, the image with an Asian feel, and the MV that evokes both happiness and separation but is not tragic, will remind many people of a love they have experienced in their lives.
