In Hoi An City, there are currently more than 10 teams and groups singing Bai Choi, regularly participating in annual festival programs. Particularly at the City Center for Culture, Information and Communication, the Art Propaganda Team uses folk songs and Bai Choi as the main form of performing arts. Especially since 1996, the establishment of Hoi An Traditional Arts Theater has created an excellent Bai Choi singing team to serve the public with a very high frequency of activities...
According to cultural researcher Phung Tan Dong, the activities that Hoi An has been trying to carry out have created an effective audience for the art of Bài Chòi. People in areas such as Cam Thanh, Cam Chau, Cam An, Cua Dai, Thanh Ha, Cam Ha... in general, everywhere there is an audience for Bài Chòi. This is the basis for Bài Chòi to spread more and more, to be preserved and developed.
Since 2004, the Hoi An Cultural and Sports Center (formerly) has coordinated with the city's Department of Education and Training to introduce folk singing and bai choi into schools; organizing weekly teaching sessions for junior high schools every school year. And from 2011 to present, the center has also opened folk singing and bai choi classes every night at the "Night Street" activity in the old town for children. This class is also ready to welcome tourists to join singing lessons.

For many consecutive years, Hoi An's bai choi has been invited to perform cultural exchanges and serve festivals and events in many provinces and cities across the country, national and international summits, in many different countries (from Germany, Hungary, to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia)... And with tourism activities in Hoi An, the bai choi game has become an indispensable spiritual food for locals and tourists.
Having participated in the Bai Choi singing activity in the “Old Quarter Nights”, Minh Nhanh in Cam Chau Ward, shared: “Not only domestic guests but also international guests often come to listen to my performance. This game is called Bai Choi performance, so we always have to sing and perform at the same time so that guests can understand and know this folk art form.”

To create interest and attract tourists is a whole process of elaborate creativity by those working in the cultural and artistic fields in Hoi An. Mr. Vo Phung - former Director of the City's Center for Culture, Information and Communication, said that Hoi An has known how to "internationalize" Bai Choi, when introducing and instructing how to play Bai Choi in English.
“In particular, Hoi An is a place that receives tourists from all over the country, so the pronunciation and local accent must be adjusted appropriately so that visitors can easily understand; at the same time, we must create a class of artists who can sing and chant Bai Choi songs that are truly attractive. And the classes of artists who perform well and sing well are the ones who make the Bai Choi game come alive again,” said Mr. Phung.
