These days, all over the streets and villages in Ba Ria - Vung Tau , there is a buzz about the upcoming citizen of the city named after Uncle Ho. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Duyen (Phu My City) shared that the policy of merging provinces and streamlining the administrative apparatus to concentrate resources for national development is a very correct policy. At the same time, she hopes that when arranging cadres during the merger, it is necessary to be impartial and objective, choosing people with capacity, intelligence, impartiality for the country and the people, and resolving appropriate policies for civil servants and public employees whose jobs are affected by the process of streamlining the apparatus.
The time to merge with localities is only counting down, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial government is also urging units to speed up the progress of work to reduce pressure when operating the new Ho Chi Minh City. The province requires all conditions for operating the two-level local government to be fully prepared, to ensure that the system can operate as a whole, ready for the official start on the morning of July 1.
Ba Ria - Vung Tau will become an inseparable part of the new Ho Chi Minh City. That requires the provincial staff to not only quickly integrate into the new governance mechanism, but also to play a proactive leadership role with practical experience and proven effective initiatives. In the immediate future, the entire government system will devote all its time and attention to the grassroots, supporting and removing difficulties and obstacles for the 30 newly established wards, communes and special economic zones.
Comrade Le Anh Tu, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Con Dao District Party Committee, expects that when Con Dao special zone is under the new Ho Chi Minh City, there will be a big change in the awareness and actions of the staff, civil servants, public employees and even the people of Con Dao who are people of the city directly under the Central Government, the city named after Uncle Ho, the most dynamic and affectionate city in Southeast Asia. With the resources of Ho Chi Minh City, Con Dao will be invested in developing synchronous infrastructure for health, education, culture, society, electricity, water, telecommunications, developing green transportation, circular economy , attracting quality human resources to live and work on the island.

In the immediate future, the leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province require agencies and units to focus on completing the remaining tasks in a timely manner. The settlement of outstanding documents and tasks must be carried out urgently, especially the digitization and storage of administrative documents related to land and investment projects must be arranged and preserved carefully, ensuring absolute safety during transportation, avoiding loss and errors when receiving at the new unit.
For the headquarters and surplus public assets after the organizational restructuring, the province requires a plan for effective management and use, to prevent degradation, encroachment or loss, causing waste. One of the important tasks is to promptly and fully resolve the regimes and policies for the team of cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and non-professional workers at the commune level affected by the organizational restructuring.
According to comrade Pham Viet Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee, the merger of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City into the new Ho Chi Minh City is a major, historic policy, demonstrating the Party and State's strong determination to reform in building a modern, effective, efficient, for-the-people and by-the-people administration. This policy has received high consensus from the people and attention and positive evaluation from the international community. This is a substantial step, demonstrating a strategic vision in the process of building a strong, developed, high-income Vietnam in the future.
According to the plan, on June 27, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province will organize activities to celebrate the 34th anniversary of the province's founding (August 12, 1991 - August 12, 2025). The program includes activities: anniversary meeting; announcement of the decision to complete the construction of new rural areas at the provincial level; screening of documentaries; reporting on socio-economic achievements over the periods; praising and rewarding collectives and individuals who have made many contributions to the development of the province.
