Of these, 10 helicopters carried the Party flag and the national flag flying over Ba Dinh Square; while the Su30-MK2 and Yak-130 aircraft performed a display of heat traps and aerobatics in the sky above Hanoi .

The forces participating in the sea parade (taking place at Cam Ranh Khanh Hoa military port) were broadcast live to Ba Dinh Square via a screen with narration, including: Navy, Coast Guard, Border Guard and Military Region 5, with many types of weapons and equipment: command ships; maritime patrol aircraft, anti-submarine helicopters; submarine squadrons, missile frigates, anti-submarine frigates, fast attack missile boats, naval gunboats; Coast Guard ship squadrons; Border Guard and Standing Militia Squadron, along with many modern means and equipment.
