Monitoring data shows that at 2:40 p.m. on September 13, the water level of the Red River at the Hanoi hydrological station (Long Bien bridge area) dropped to 9.45m, below alert level I of 9.5m.
Implementing regulations on flood warnings, on the afternoon of September 13, the Hanoi City Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue issued Order No. 74/L-BCH on withdrawing level I flood warning on the Red River.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Hanoi City requested the districts of Bac Tu Liem, Tay Ho, Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung, Hoang Mai, Long Bien, Thanh Tri, Dong Anh, and Gia Lam to strictly implement regulations when the flood warning on the Red River is withdrawn.
Although the water level of the Red River at the Hanoi hydrological station has dropped below alert level I, the water level of the Red River at the An Canh hydrological station (Thuong Tin district) is still above alert level I, posing a risk of affecting the two districts of Thuong Tin and Phu Xuyen.
According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Hanoi City, the flooding situation is still complicated, especially in low-lying areas, residential areas along the Cau River, Ca Lo River, Bui River... Localities along the rivers need to continue to closely monitor floods on the rivers to proactively respond.
