The book includes 81 articles by more than 50 authors who are researchers, artists, directors, and critics - people who have lived and created with Cai Luong through many periods, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, with co-editors of People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc and People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau.
People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc, People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau and members of the Editorial Board at the book launch ceremony.
Speaking at the event, People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau shared: "This is a collective work, the passion of an artist's entire life, of those who work and love the profession. We wish to promptly record the milestones, the silent and resounding contributions of Ho Chi Minh City's reformed opera artists, so that future generations can inherit and develop."
People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc also expressed his emotion when writing a book about Cai Luong for the first time, despite coming from spoken drama: "This book is not only a document, but also the life of Cai Luong art, told through the emotions and attachment of many artists both domestically and overseas."
The book received the attention of many artists, researchers and the public.
In addition, guests such as Associate Professor Dr. Huynh Quoc Thang, Director Ton That Can, Meritorious Artist Ca Le Hong, Dr. Mai My Duyen... also shared emotional and professional insights, highlighting the inheritance, creativity and potential of Cai Luong in the contemporary cultural space.
