The Department of Transport of Phu Tho province has just issued a traffic diversion plan through Trung Ha bridge.
Accordingly, from 4:00 p.m. this afternoon (October 20), some types of vehicles will be allowed to pass through Trung Ha bridge.
Specifically, trucks with 3 axles or more and passenger vans with more than 29 seats will continue to be banned from traveling across the bridge. Other types of vehicles will be allowed to travel across Trung Ha Bridge at a maximum speed of no more than 20 km/h.
The Department of Transport of Phu Tho province requested the Ba Vi District Police ( Hanoi ), Tam Nong District Police to coordinate with the Inspectorate of the Department of Transport of Phu Tho province to organize guidance, regulation, and traffic flow through Trung Ha bridge to ensure safety.
Previously, on September 9, after the collapse of Phong Chau bridge, the Department of Transport of Phu Tho province banned all motor vehicles from traveling through Trung Ha bridge. As of September 25, vehicles including cars with 7 seats or less, motorbikes, scooters, rudimentary vehicles, and traffic participants are allowed to travel on one lane across this bridge.
Since the end of May, Trung Ha bridge has been in the process of repairing and reinforcing 2 pillars T11 and T12.
