According to Yonhap News , the South Korean National Assembly voted on December 14 to impeach President Yoon Suk-yeol for imposing martial law.
The impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol was passed by a vote of 204-85, with 3 abstentions and 8 invalid votes. President Yoon Suk-yeol will be suspended from office as soon as the impeachment resolution is delivered to his office.
Prime Minister Han Duck-soo will serve as acting president.

Shortly before the vote, Mr. Yoon’s People Power Party (PPP) decided to participate but oppose impeachment. Meanwhile, seven PPP lawmakers separately announced that they would vote in favor of impeachment.
A two-thirds majority vote in favor in Congress, equivalent to 200 votes, is needed for impeachment to pass.
The first vote on whether to impeach Yoon was held on December 7. The impeachment failed as almost all PPP lawmakers abstained from voting.
The main opposition Democratic Party and five other minor opposition parties then filed a second impeachment motion against Mr Yoon, accusing him of violating the constitution and other laws when he declared martial law on December 3.
Compared to the first proposal, the second proposal drops some charges against Mr. Yoon but adds several others, including that he ordered the military and police to arrest lawmakers while martial law was in effect.
Mr Yoon is likely to become the next South Korean president to be impeached after former President Park Geun-hye in 2017.
