Kien An District organizes Tug of War Tournament to celebrate the Party and the Year of the Dragon 2024

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the afternoon of March 1, at the Multi-purpose Sports Hall, Kien An District organized a Tug of War tournament to celebrate the Party and the Year of the Dragon 2024. Attending were comrades: Nguyen Truong Son, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Thuyen, Vice Chairman of the District People's Council; Nguyen Phong Doanh, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee.

Kien An District leaders presented souvenir flags to units participating in the tournament.
The 2024 Tug of War Tournament has the active participation of more than 200 athletes from Tug of War Clubs of 10 wards representing all classes of people in the district. Participating in the Tug of War Tournament is also an opportunity for athletes to exchange and learn from each other, enhance understanding and solidarity between units, and at the same time continue to promote the movement of physical exercise and sports among the people, improve health for work, study and work.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes in the Men's Tug of War category: Bac Son Ward won first prize; Nam Son Ward won second prize and Trang Minh Ward won third prize. In the Women's Tug of War category: Trang Minh Ward won first prize; Ngoc Son Ward won second prize and Lam Ha Ward won third prize. In the Men's and Women's Tug of War category: Trang Minh Ward won second prize; Tran Thanh Ngo Ward won second prize and Quan Tru Ward won third prize. The Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to the participating units at the tournament.
