Pleiku: Donating 30 traditional costumes to the Central Highlands Folk Music Preservation Club

(GLO)- On June 12, Dong Da Ward Youth Union (Pleiku City) coordinated with Transport Regiment 827 (Army Corps 34) and Engineering Brigade 280 (Military Region 5) to propagate drug prevention and control and organize a thematic activity "Preserving, conserving and promoting national culture" for 100 union members and young people of the units.

With the theme “One determination - For a drug-free community”, officers of Regiment 827 disseminated information about the harmful effects of drugs, sanctions for violations of the law, drug crimes and measures to prevent and combat this social evil. At the same time, union members and young people also discussed the role of youth in preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of the ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands.

On this occasion, the units presented 30 traditional Jrai ethnic costumes to the Tay Nguyen Folk Music Preservation Club under Dong Da Ward Youth Union and 3 gifts to excellent students in the area.

The program aims to raise awareness among union members and young people about drug prevention and control; at the same time, contribute to preserving and promoting national cultural identity in the community, especially the younger generation.
