Quang Phu Ward focuses on handling the landslide incident at the foot of the dike.

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Due to the impact of storm No. 5 and rising flood waters on the Ma River, landslides have seriously affected the safety of the dike system in Quang Phu ward, including the dike section bordering Sam Son ward (old Quang Chau commune).

Faced with the above situation, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Phu Ward requested immediate application of response and remedial measures, minimizing damage and maintaining safety for local dike works.

Specifically, at the landslide section at the foot of the dike from K54+820 to K54+990, bordering Sam Son ward (old Quang Chau commune), the ward Military Command consulted and organized on-site means, materials, and human resources to handle the incident.

Accordingly, hundreds of cadres were mobilized to participate, including militia, police, grassroots order, discipline force, soldiers of Regiment 762, along with hundreds of bamboo trees, fences, more than 100m3 of soil, 1000 sacks, excavators, pile drivers, trucks carrying soil and equipment to handle the dike toe with the goal of completing it on August 29, in order to minimize damage caused by natural disasters, storms and floods, ensure the safety of the dike roof, dike body, protect people and property of households living along the dike.
