Phuc Loi Ward plans to rename 15 residential groups

According to the Project to rename residential groups and merge residential clusters into residential groups in the area, Phuc Loi ward (Hanoi) plans to keep the names of 29 residential groups and adjust the names of 15 residential groups.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Phuc Loi Ward, Nguyen Thi Thanh Hang, said that renaming residential groups and merging residential clusters into residential groups in the ward is an important and urgent task that has a great impact on the lives of the people and agencies, organizations and units in the area.

Therefore, immediately after officially operating the 2-level local government model, the leaders of the Ward People's Committee focused on directing specialized departments to review and develop a master plan with the principle of minimizing disruption, choosing the most optimal solution, suitable for the available infrastructure, meeting the operational requirements of the residential group.

After the arrangement, Phuc Loi ward is the ward with the smallest natural area among the 4 wards formed within the old Long Bien district. The ward has an area of 10.41 km ² with a population of more than 66,790 people with a total of 44 residential groups; including 29 residential groups in the old Phuc Loi ward; 13 residential groups in the old Phuc Dong ward and 2 residential groups in the old Viet Hung ward. Thus, 13 residential groups of the old Phuc Dong ward and 2 residential groups of the old Viet Hung ward have the same names as the residential groups of the old Phuc Loi ward.

Therefore, to ensure the least disruption, the Project of the People's Committee of Phuc Loi Ward proposes to keep the names of 29 residential groups in the old Phuc Loi Ward with the order from 1 to 29, and at the same time change the names of the remaining 15 residential groups with numbers from 30 to 44 respectively.

In addition, the ward's Project also specifically states the plan to merge a number of residential clusters in Giang Bien, Thach Ban, and Phuc Dong wards of the old Long Bien district and Co Bi commune of the old Gia Lam district into neighboring residential groups.

According to the plan, this month, Phuc Loi ward plans to carry out the necessary steps and procedures to complete this.
