The Sing! Asia 2025 finals have just taken place with 3 knockout rounds. In the first round, Phuong My Chi and Hoang Linh sang a duet of Son Tung M-TP's hit Lac Troi in a bilingual Vietnamese-Chinese version.
Phuong My Chi and the DTAP group chose to innovate, remix, design a bilingual version and deeply exploit Asian colors.
This helps preserve the identity of Vietnamese music , while opening up space for exchange in the international arena.
The performance brought in the highest score - 202.8 points. This achievement made Phuong My Chi the leading contestant in the first round of the final night and officially won the right to move on to round 2.
Phuong My Chi sings "Lac troi"
In the next round, Phuong My Chi performed the song Chopsticks - a performance imbued with the spirit of regional connection.
Inspired by the story of a bundle of chopsticks in Vietnamese culture, Phuong My Chi and the DTAP group expanded that image into a message of solidarity, friendship and the power of connection between Asian countries.
The performance used 5 languages including Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, Japanese and English as a way to express diversity and cultural exchange.
In the second half of the performance, the appearance of 30 children in traditional costumes representing Asian countries created a touching visual effect.
Phuong My Chi also handled the climax with smooth high notes, conveying the pride and aspiration of the young generation.
In the final result, the singer from Vietnam won 406.8 points, stopping at the Top 3 position.
Top 2 belongs to Chu Phi Ca (China) with a score of 407.6. The first season of Sing! Asia Champion title was awarded to Mijuna (Japan) with a total score of 411.
Although she did not reach the highest position, Phuong My Chi is considered one of the singers who created a special artistic mark, leaving many emotions in the hearts of international audiences.
Her journey in the competition received much attention and love from audiences and media in many countries, especially China. Some audiences here even hoped that she would soon organize a tour.
Sing! Asia 2025 (The Voice of Asia) is the first cross-national music competition held with a panel of judges including: Su Huu Bang, Jessie J, Jimmy Lin and singer Dan Truong.
The program brings together 32 promising singers and judges from 9 Asian countries.
