Parents in Ho Chi Minh City kiss their children on the cheek and give them high fives to motivate them for the 10th grade exam

On the morning of June 6, more than 76,000 students in Ho Chi Minh City officially entered the 10th grade entrance exam in 2025. At the exam site of Trung Vuong High School, many parents brought their children very early, arriving at the school gate at 6:00 a.m.

Ms. Kim Yen (District 7) clapped her hands to wish her child good luck on the exam. "Every exam is important, but the most important thing is that your child's mind is comfortable, only then will they have the inspiration to do the test. Even though this year's exam is a bit easier, we cannot be subjective," Ms. Yen said.

Minh Thu's parents gave their daughter a kiss and some advice. This year's exam was not too stressful, so the whole family felt more comfortable. "I hope my daughter gets the score she wants," she said.

This morning, candidates took the Literature exam for 120 minutes. For the first time, students took the 10th grade exam according to the 2018 GeneralEducation Program, but over the past 5 years, Ho Chi Minh City has changed the way the 10th grade exam is given to approach this.
