Rich Indian cultural colors in Hanoi

On the morning of June 1, the Embassy of India in Hanoi coordinated with the Vietnam Women's Museum to organize the Indian Cultural Exchange Day event to build a cultural bridge between the two countries.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet - Director of the Vietnam Women's Museum, said that the Indian Cultural Exchange Festival will open a series of useful and interesting experiential activities organized by the Vietnam Women's Museum for children in the summer of 2024.

According to Ms. Tuyet, the combination of organizing the event to celebrate International Children's Day (June 1) and International Yoga Day (June 21) aims to show love, care and protection for children.

The event also highlighted the importance ofeducating the younger generation about healthy lifestyles, not only about physical exercise, but also about understanding and respecting different cultural values.

Sharing here, Dr. Monica Sharma, Director of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center, Embassy of India in Hanoi, said that events to celebrate the 10th International Yoga Day will take place in at least 35 provinces and cities of Vietnam in 2024.

This year's International Yoga Day continues to be celebrated with the message to everyone to spread a positive, peaceful lifestyle with the habit of practicing Yoga to balance the mind, connect with the surrounding environment completely and relieve stress in life.

The United Nations also recognizes Yoga as a holistic approach to health and well-being, acknowledging that spreading the benefits of Yoga is a contribution to the health of people around the world .

Ms. Monica Sharma believes that the presence of women in the event will be a strong inspiration and contribute to spreading more widely the values that the theme of the 10th International Yoga Day is aiming for.

At the event, the public enjoyed an Indian dance performance, performed by dance teachers and students of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center.

The Indian Cultural Exchange Festival also includes activities such as displaying handicrafts, exchanging and exploring Indian culture through souvenir stalls, and introducing Indian cuisine prepared by skilled chefs.

In addition, the event also has a variety of experiential activities for children and families such as henna drawing, trying on traditional sari costumes...

With many attractive activities and the participation of many Yoga lovers in Hanoi, the event contributed to promoting cultural exchange and raising awareness about the effects of Yoga on health, physical strength and spirit.
