District 1 Education Department has a new head of department, a female principal.

On March 6, the People's Committee of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to announce and award the decision to appoint an official to the position of Head of the Departmentof Education and Training.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of District 1 has issued a decision to appoint Ms. Le Thi Thanh Giang, principal of Tran Van On Secondary School, District 1, to hold the position of Head of the District Education and Training Department. The term of appointment is 5 years.

Ms. Le Thi Thanh Giang was born in 1973, has a master's degree in educational management, and graduated from the University of Education, Faculty of Physics, in 1995.

Up to now, Ms. Giang has 30 years of experience working in the education and training sector of District 1 in many different positions such as physics teacher at Minh Duc Secondary School, vice principal of Vo Truong Toan Secondary School, vice principal of Chu Van An Secondary School, principal of Huynh Khuong Ninh Secondary School, and Tran Van On Secondary School.

Speaking at the appointment ceremony, Mr. Duong Anh Duc, Secretary of District 1 Party Committee, congratulated Ms. Le Thi Thanh Giang on being appointed to the position of Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 1.

At the same time, Mr. Duong Anh Duc hopes that in the coming time, Ms. Giang will quickly grasp the work and work together with the Department of Education to immediately carry out assigned tasks; deploy good programs and plans in education and training of students.
