Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long meets voters in Phu Quoc

(NLDO) - Many voters have made recommendations on "hot" issues to the leaders of Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province and relevant agencies.

On the afternoon of December 11, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, the National Assembly Delegation of Kien Giang Province held a meeting with voters after the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly (unit No. 3). Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long attended the meeting.

Voters of Phu Quoc City petitioned the Deputy Prime Minister and the National Assembly Delegation of Kien Giang Province on "hot" issues.

At the meeting, voters of Phu Quoc City highly appreciated the efforts of the local government in restoring urban order, creating an increasingly beautiful and airy landscape for Phu Quoc. In particular, the security and order situation, traffic safety are stable, and criminal gangs have decreased significantly...

Mr. Do Thanh Binh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Kien Giang Province - received voters' opinions and recommendations.

On this occasion, many voters made recommendations on "hot" issues to the leaders of Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province and relevant agencies; mainly revolving around issues of planning, granting of land use right certificates, suspended projects, environmental pollution, etc.

Mr. Le Quoc Anh, Secretary of Phu Quoc City Party Committee, accepted and committed to solving a number of important issues proposed by voters.

In addition, some interesting opinions of voters were raised at the meeting such as: Medical facilities and equipment on the island are limited; the southern area of the island does not have a stable anchorage for boats to shelter from storms; the city lacks commercial centers and large supermarkets to serve residents and tourists...

Receiving voters’ opinions, Phu Quoc City Party Secretary Le Quoc Anh pledged to resolve suggestions and complaints from the grassroots to all levels in the coming time. Regarding planning, resettlement support, and granting of land use right certificates, Phu Quoc City Party Committee leaders affirmed that they will focus on resolving them better in the coming time.

Chairing the conference and receiving voters' opinions, Mr. Do Thanh Binh - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Kien Giang province - directed the provincial departments, branches, and Phu Quoc City authorities to explain the opinions and recommendations of the people within the authority of the province and city as soon as possible.

Some opinions beyond the province's authority will be compiled by the delegation and submitted to the competent authority for resolution.
