The 25-year-old star is currently in the US with Man City to participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, with the opening match against Tunisian team, Wydad AC on Wednesday night, 11pm, June 18.

However, commenting on TalkSport, former Chelsea player Tony Cascarino said that Phil Foden could cause a shock move this summer by leaving Pep Guardiola and Man City to join Arsenal and Mikel Arteta.

Mikel Arteta worked with Phil Foden at Man City and who knows, we might discover a different version of him this past campaign.

From being the PFA Player of the Year (2024), Foden has not been himself this season. I don't know if Man City will let him go to Arsenal, but they have allowed Gabriel Jesus and Zinchenko to do so.

If Arsenal could sign Phil Foden, I think Mikel Arteta would really consider it .”
