With the advantage of being over 1,500m above sea level; cool climate all year round and beautiful nature with majestic mountain ranges and many terraced fields winding around the hillsides. This is an ideal destination for tourists who love to explore nature, eco -tourism , check-in and learn about the traditional culture of the ethnic groups in the area.
Located in the high mountains, Pu Sam Cap commune still preserves many unique traditional cultural features of the Mong people and some other ethnic groups living together, creating a colorful cultural picture. The unique customs and practices, from the New Rice Festival, "Gau Tao" to the traditional New Year... all contain unique spiritual values and identities. The cultural and artistic movement has helped traditional dances, folk songs, and musical instruments to be naturally transmitted and is also a cultural bridge with tourists. Crafts such as brocade weaving, corn wine brewing, and forging agricultural tools have been passed down through generations, helping the locality have products to meet the shopping needs of tourists and creating opportunities for tourists to experience. Coming to Pu Sam Cap, visitors have the opportunity to explore and immerse themselves in the indigenous cultural life, feeling the beauty of the landscape. Realizing the advantages of tourism development, the People's Committee of Sin Ho district and Pu Sam Cap commune have focused on implementing policies to develop community tourism. According to Mr. Chang A De - Chairman of Pu Sam Cap Commune People's Committee, in recent years, the district has developed a plan to upgrade infrastructure and roads, and directed relevant departments and branches to support the commune in participating in tourism activities. The locality has made the most of supported resources for development, in which the role of the people is promoted. Households with needs and conditions will be supported to develop homestay models, provide food services, and guide tours.

Women of Ho Si Pan village (Pu Sam Cap commune) maintain the traditional brocade embroidery profession.

Currently, Pu Sam Cap commune is focusing on training tourism service skills, preserving and promoting traditional cultural identity for the people. Through professional training courses, equipping people with knowledge about tourism service management, environmental protection and civilized behavior in business. The whole commune has more than 30 households participating in tourist service activities. Mr. Mua A Chinh in Ho Si Pan village shared: In recent years, I have regularly participated in training courses on community tourism development. Since the beginning of the year, I have participated in 2 training courses. Thanks to that, the villagers and I know how to organize activities to serve tourists, such as: accommodation, food and drink, experiencing local culture, selling souvenirs... to meet the increasing needs of tourists. We will continue to preserve and promote the unique cultural values of the community, focusing on protecting the environment to attract tourists". Efforts to develop community tourism in Pu Sam Cap have initially had positive results. The number of visitors coming to visit and experience has increased every year. In the first 10 months of 2024, the whole commune welcomed more than 350 visitors, including 95 visitors from outside the province. Although the number of visitors is not too large, this is also a good sign for tourism development in the highland commune of Pu Sam Cap. The homestay model, catering services, sightseeing... not only creates conditions for families to have more income but also maintains ancillary industries such as farming, animal husbandry and handicrafts. Ms. Giang Thi Pa in Ho Si Pan village confided: "Since participating in community tourism activities, my family has had a stable income from accommodation services and selling brocade products, corn wine - local specialties. Tourists are very fond of it, buying it as a gift and enjoying the experience of village life". However, developing community tourism in Pu Sam Cap still faces many challenges. The transportation system to tourist destinations is still limited; there are not many forms of promoting the commune's image on the media, especially digital platforms, leading to a lack of dissemination to many tourists inside and outside the province. Clearly identifying that, the commune is implementing measures to improve traffic infrastructure; coordinating with tourism businesses and media agencies to develop a strategy to promote the local image. Promoting digitalization and application of information technology to attract more tourists, affirming its position on the tourism map of Lai Chau .
