Driver tested positive for drugs while driving a tractor on Highway 1A

On the afternoon of July 6, Ha Tinh Provincial Police announced that the Traffic Police force had just discovered a tractor-trailer driver testing positive for synthetic drugs while traveling on National Highway 1A.

Authorities discovered a driver tested positive for synthetic drugs.

Previously, at around 8:00 a.m. the same day, at Km486+100 National Highway 1A (Nam Hong Linh Ward, Ha Tinh Province), the Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department, Ha Tinh Province Police) stopped and inspected a tractor-trailer with Lao license plate UN-25.xx pulling a trailer UN-24.xx driven by driver THD. (born in 1990, residing in Quang Tri Province) in the North-South direction.

Authorities discovered a driver tested positive for synthetic drugs.

Through alcohol testing and rapid drug testing, driver THD. was determined positive for Methamphetamine - a synthetic drug with strong stimulant properties, causing hallucinations, loss of behavioral control, and is especially dangerous when driving.

The driver was then taken to Hong Ha Hospital (in Nam Hong Linh ward) for further testing, the results continued to confirm positive for Methamphetamine.

The Working Group has drawn up a record of the incident and coordinated with Nam Hong Linh Ward Police to continue verifying and strictly handling the case according to the provisions of law.
