Striving to build Chau Phu commune into a type IV urban area by 2030

On August 21 and 22, Chau Phu Commune Party Committee held the 1st Congress of the Commune Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030. The Congress set out 11 targets to strive for in the 2025 - 2030 term and identified 3 breakthroughs, which are to continue to innovate, perfect the organizational apparatus, improve the quality of cadres and party members to meet the requirements of tasks in the new era; strive to complete the criteria and targets by the end of 2030 for Chau Phu commune to become a type IV urban area; strengthen the application of science and technology, promote innovation, creativity and comprehensive digital transformation in the fields of state management, agricultural production and business activities.

Speaking at the congress, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Tong Phuoc Truong acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the achievements of the Party Committee and people of Chau Phu commune in the past term. At the same time, he requested the Party Committee of Chau Phu commune to continue to build and rectify the Party and the political system to be clean and strong in all aspects; organize a streamlined apparatus and operate effectively and efficiently. This is considered a particularly important task, especially in the current period when new requirements and tasks are increasingly high.

At the same time, build a government that serves the people, change the mindset from administration to service, take the satisfaction of the people and businesses as a measure of operational efficiency. Promote the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, Uncle Ton's moral example, associated with the implementation of local political tasks. Focus on effectively exploiting the existing potential and advantages of the locality; promote economic restructuring towards increasing added value, associated with urban construction. Develop high-tech agricultural economy, according to the value chain, large scale, high quality, creating a foundation for the development of food processing industry.

Pay attention to the material and spiritual life of the people, especially those who have contributed to the revolution and policy beneficiaries. Maximally mobilize all resources to continue to maintain local sustainability, with no more poor households; at the same time, effectively implement social protection policies and universal health insurance. Continue to maintain national defense, security and foreign affairs. Proactively prevent and effectively combat all types of crimes and social evils, ensuring political security, order and social safety in the area.

At the same time, have a plan to deploy, thoroughly grasp and widely propagate among cadres, party members and people; regularly inspect, supervise, summarize, promptly commend and replicate advanced models, and soon put the congress resolution into life.

The Congress announced the decision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to appoint 33 comrades to join the Chau Phu Commune Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term; the Commune Party Standing Committee consists of 11 comrades. Comrade Thi Hong Thuy was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Chau Phu Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
