Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien was elected by the National Assembly to hold the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy for the 2021-2026 term. Photo: DUY LINH

With 439/439 delegates present in favor (accounting for 91.27% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), the National Assembly passed the Resolution on electing the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien was elected as Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy to replace Mr. Le Minh Tri - who was recently elected by the National Assembly to hold the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien was born in 1968; before being elected as Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Mr. Tien was Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Permanent Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
