Here, many people and student volunteers holding flags and flowers stood in a line from the platform to the lobby to welcome the officers and soldiers getting off the train.

Sharing with the press, Lieutenant Dinh Thi Hoai Thuong ( Quang Binh Province Military Command) expressed her joy and pride when participating in a major event like mission A80 for the first time in her life. In particular, witnessing the warm welcome from the capital's people, she was very moved.

The female lieutenant said that before going to Hanoi, she had 2 months of training at the 270th Engineer Brigade (Military Region 5). The training intensity was high, the weather was harsh, there were days when she was sweating like a shower, her feet were blistered, her back was soaked, but she always encouraged herself to try her best.

"I hope I will be strong and stay healthy to successfully complete this A80 mission. When I finish my mission, I will have a happy wedding," Lieutenant Thuong continued.

Sharing the same feelings as Lieutenant Thuong, the female soldiers were all happy and moved when they arrived in Hanoi. The welcome from the large number of people was the inspiration for them to overcome the difficulties and hardships in the coming time.

"This is my first time in Hanoi. The scenery is so beautiful, as beautiful as us," said Lieutenant Hua Thi Nhu Ngoc, a soldier in Military Region 5.
