On the morning of June 26, the 2025 High School Graduation Exam officially began, marking a historic milestone when it applied the 2018 generaleducation program for the first time, while still ensuring the rights of candidates according to the 2006 general education program.

A notable new point of this year's exam is that the literature exam will not use materials from textbooks, and will apply to all three parts: reading comprehension, social commentary, and literary commentary.

In addition, the 2025 exam also has many other important adjustments such as increasing the number of exam sessions to 2, and in particular, each exam room can simultaneously organize exams for up to 5 different subjects.

Before the G hour, at the exam sites, the image of parents kindly encouraging, giving hugs and kisses to motivate the candidates has become a warm highlight.

In Ho Chi Minh City alone, the organization was carefully prepared with 171 testing sites and 4,242 testing rooms. Of these, 168 sites (4,180 rooms) served candidates of the 2018 program and 3 sites (62 rooms) were reserved for candidates of the 2006 program. Each testing site had 3 additional spare rooms to promptly respond to any situation.

Sharing about the Literature subject, candidate My Trinh expressed her confidence: "The Literature subject is creative so I feel comfortable no matter what work is given as the topic."

At the Examination Council of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (District 5), many candidates showed their radiance and readiness to conquer the first exam.

Security has also been tightened. All test storage rooms and exam papers at the testing sites have been installed with surveillance cameras since June 19. This system ensures continuous recording of all activities, even during power outages, to prevent any unusual impacts.

With more than 1.1 million candidates across 63 provinces and cities, held at 2,493 testing locations and more than 50,000 testing rooms, this is considered the largest high school graduation exam ever.
