The play-off match for the 2025-2026 V-League will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC) at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow (June 27). The two teams participating in this match are SHB Da Nang (ranked 13th in the 2024-2025 V-League) and Binh Phuoc (ranked 2nd in the first division).

Before the play-off match, SHB Da Nang coach Le Duc Tuan said: “I heard that there will be a large audience at the stadium tomorrow, including SHB Da Nang fans. As professional football players like us, we always want matches to have a large audience.”

“Honestly, whether it is the home team or the opponent's audience, playing in front of a large crowd always motivates us. I personally do not feel pressured by the audience, on the contrary, the fans' support makes me more determined.

We have to win to stay in the league. All plans are carefully prepared, including the penalty shootout option,” added coach Le Duc Tuan.

Meanwhile, Mr. Le Duc Tuan's counterpart, Coach Huynh Quoc Anh of Binh Phuoc Club, said: "I grew up with Da Nang football. This land, this football is always in my heart. My family, my friends, my old teammates are mostly living in Da Nang."

“But I am a professional coach, my mission is to serve my team, to lead my team to victory,” coach Huynh Quoc Anh affirmed.

Cong Phuong vs Bui Tien Dung

There are many famous players in the squads of SHB Da Nang and Binh Phuoc. Notably, there are goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung of SHB Da Nang and striker Nguyen Cong Phuong of Binh Phuoc Club.

Goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung said about striker Cong Phuong: "We wanted to defeat Cong Phuong's Binh Phuoc team, but when SHB Da Nang defeated them, that was not my achievement and responsibility alone."

“We also do not focus on marking Cong Phuong alone because Binh Phuoc team does not only have him. Football is a team sport, SHB Da Nang will try to stop the entire Binh Phuoc team, not stop Cong Phuong or any individual player,” goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung added.

As for goalkeeper and captain Bui Tan Truong of Binh Phuoc, this goalkeeper shared: "This is not the first time I have played in a play-off match. Previously, I helped Dong Thap Club win the play-off match for a ticket to the V-League, also at Thong Nhat Stadium."

“The fact that the team will give us a big bonus (Binh Phuoc Club will give the whole team 10 billion VND if they win) is not the core factor for our determination. In matches like this, any player, any team is determined to compete and win, not just because of the bonus,” goalkeeper Bui Tan Truong emphasized.

According to the rules, if the play-off match is tied after 90 minutes of official play, both sides will take penalty kicks to decide the winner, without extra time. This match will apply VAR technology.
