Samsung is preparing to launch the One UI 8 (Android 16) update with many significant improvements, especially the deep integration of artificial intelligence (AI).

List of Galaxy S devices getting One UI 8 update
According to Samsung's software update policy, Galaxy S series from S21 FE and above will be eligible to receive One UI 8. Specifically:
- Galaxy S25 Series: S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge
- Galaxy S24 Series: S24, S24 Plus, S24 Ultra, S24 FE
- Galaxy S23 Series: S23, S23 Plus, S23 Ultra, S23 FE

Final update for some models
Notably, for Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, S22 Ultra, and Galaxy S21 FE users, One UI 8 (Android 16) will be the last major OS upgrade.
While these devices may still get smaller updates like One UI 8.5 in 2026, after that they will only get regular security patches.
This means that users of these models will need to consider upgrading their devices if they want to experience newer versions of Android and One UI in the future.
