After a month of competition amidst heat and tropical storms, the first FIFA Club World Cup, organized in the new version, has come to an end.

Chelsea and PSG – two European football giants – face off in the final at MetLife to decide the trophy, as well as the huge prize money.

After winning the Conference League and a ticket to the Champions League next season, Chelsea continued to improve their performance with each match.

The new signings for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, especially Joao Pedro, have integrated very quickly. This is largely thanks to coach Enzo Maresca.

Now, Enzo Maresca wants to assert his position in the battle with the strongest club in the world at the moment.

Their opponents beat Inter Milan 5-0 in the Champions League final, beating Atletico, Inter Miami and Real Madrid by the same score of 4-0.

For many, Chelsea went through the “easy draw” on their way to the final. Maresca did not think so and wanted to prove the strength of The Blues in the competition with PSG.

On the other side, PSG continuously proves that there is currently no team stronger than them on the pitch. A machine that operates almost perfectly, always achieving maximum performance from passing to finishing.

Luis Enrique has successfully built a team that knows how to control the ball and play attractive football, captivating even neutral fans.

PSG have won every trophy in Europe this season. Luis Enrique's side are looking to make history by winning the Club World Cup.

Levi Colwill, Chelsea's main centre-back, returned to the starting line-up for the final after suspension, and was optimistic about the Paris team.

“They are a great team, but we are not Inter Miami or Real Madrid,” Colwill declared.

He watched PSG win the semi-finals: “Real Madrid are very different to us. They don’t press like us, they don’t play like us.

PSG cannot expect us to perform the same way. Chelsea will bring something different. We are different players.”

MetLife Stadium will be a battle of high-intensity pressing, with eye-catching dribbling displays from the excellent wingers that both teams possess.
