Meritorious teacher Nguyen Van Phuc passed away at the age of 89

(NLDO) – Meritorious teacher Nguyen Van Phuc is a devoted teacher, sowing the seeds for many generations of artists and guiding them to fame.

On August 30, the Ho Chi Minh City theater and cinema community was shocked and saddened to hear that Meritorious Teacher Nguyen Van Phuc, former Vice Principal of the Ho Chi Minh City College of Theater and Cinema (now the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema), had breathed his last at the age of 89.

According to his wife, Vu Thi Nam, due to old age and poor health, he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at 8:00 a.m. on August 30.

She choked up as she expressed her gratitude to the "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" program of the Lao Dong Newspaper, with the support of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank.

Nam A, promptly visited, encouraged and supported him during his treatment. Despite his serious illness, his mind was still clear, always filled with the desire to accompany the younger generation. "Although he was no longer standing on the podium, he still regularly cared for and guided his students whenever asked. He lived his whole life for his profession and his students" - Ms. Nam shared.

Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi emotionally recalled: "Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc studied in Bulgaria and has very good pedagogical knowledge, helping his students to reach higher and further in their careers. For me, he not only taught me acting skills but also instilled in me ethics and passion for art. He is the one who gave me wings to fly far in my career."

Not only training on the podium, Meritorious Teacher Nguyen Van Phuc also spent many years researching and writing books. The work "Art of Performing Arts and Cinema" published by the Writers Association Publishing House is the crystallization of his academic process, practical experience and teaching passion.

The valuable thing is that after retirement, he continued to teach for nearly 19 more years, constantly accompanying students. He is respected by colleagues and students not only for his expertise, but also for his personality, dedication and passion for the profession.
