Napoli are determined to sign Hojlund this summer. |
Inter Milan have been in talks with MU in recent weeks about the possibility of bringing the former Atalanta star back to Serie A. The "Nerazzurri" wanted to borrow Hojlund with a 45 million euro buyout clause. However, the deal has been frozen because MU only wants to sell. This opens up an opportunity for Napoli.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport , Napoli are serious about signing the 22-year-old striker. Coach Antonio Conte is keen to have another option in attack alongside Romelu Lukaku. Hojlund himself is quite open to the prospect of returning to Serie A this summer.
The Italian club have been in contact with MU to discuss the terms and costs of the deal. MU are ready to listen to offers for the Danish striker, paving the way for an attack upgrade next season.
Napoli have also made contact with Hojlund's representatives and talks are described as positive. The striker wants to work with Conte and play alongside stars such as Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne and Scott McTominay.
Napoli are confident of completing the deal after selling Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January 2025. Hojlund was a disappointment in Manchester, scoring just four goals in 32 Premier League games last season. However, the striker has a big advantage having played very well in Serie A.
MU and Napoli have a good working relationship after the McTominay deal last summer. In addition to Hojlund, the Serie A champions are also interested in Sancho. The Athletic confirmed that Sancho prioritizes joining Conte's team, thereby agreeing personal terms. As long as Napoli can agree a price with MU, the deal will be approved.
