Heavy rain causes landslides and localized flooding in many localities in the province.

BHG - From the night of June 27 to the morning of June 28, due to the influence of low pressure combined with high-altitude wind convergence, heavy rain occurred over a wide area in the province. Many areas had rainfall of over 150 mm, causing landslides, localized flooding, affecting houses, crops, people's property and some traffic routes.

BHG - From the night of June 27 to the morning of June 28, due to the influence of low pressure combined with high-altitude wind convergence, heavy rain occurred over a wide area in the province. Many areas had rainfall of over 150 mm, causing landslides, localized flooding, affecting houses, crops, people's property and some traffic routes.

According to the provincial Hydrometeorological Station, the water level of the Lo River at Ha Giang station at 3:00 a.m. on June 28 reached 99.13 m, exceeding alarm level I by 0.13 m. Some hydroelectric reservoirs such as Song Mien 5, Thai An, Thuan Hoa, Song Lo 2, Song Lo 4... have been and are discharging floodwater to ensure reservoir safety, the discharge flow ranges from 400 - 1,500 m³/s depending on the project. All factories are operating normally, ensuring safety of the project and downstream.

Regarding damage, no human damage has been recorded. However, the flood caused landslides in some households' houses in Huong Son commune (Quang Binh). In addition, traffic routes such as: Trang Kim Road (Quan Ba) - Duong Thuong (Yen Minh) at Km36+320 were flooded about 30 cm deep; Bac Quang - Xin Man road had small slopes eroded along the route; the road from Nan Xin Commune People's Committee to Xin Man commune (Xin Man) had a 20 m long slope erosion, spilling about 50 m3 of soil and rock onto the road, causing difficulties for vehicles. Huong Son commune (Quang Binh) also had many landslides on the roads leading to villages and hamlets. In Ha Giang city, localized flooding occurred at 4 locations in Nguyen Trai ward and Minh Khai ward. The total initial damage caused by natural disasters is estimated at more than 200 million VND.

Faced with the complicated weather developments, the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue has directed districts and cities to strengthen propaganda, put up warning signs, and check areas at high risk of landslides. At the same time, organize forces to be on duty 24/7, effectively implement the "4 on-site" motto, promptly overcome damage, and avoid being passive or surprised in responding to natural disasters.
