The Red Devils are looking for a new number one goalkeeper in the summer transfer window, with the future of Andre Onana uncertain. Onana joined United in a £47.1 million deal two years ago, but has struggled at Old Trafford. British media claim the Old Trafford club are considering replacing Onana.
Currently, MU is starting to be interested in Donnarumma. The former AC Milan star is entering the final 12 months of his contract with PSG. According to La Repubblica , the opportunity to recruit Donnarumma opened up for MU when PSG offered a price of only about 40 million euros.
Having failed to agree on a contract extension and having difficulty negotiating financial terms, the Paris club are ready to sell him in the summer transfer window. PSG want to keep him, but Donnarumma personally is not enthusiastic about the current offer.
According to L'Equipe , the PSG goalkeeper has spoken about the possibility of joining an English team in conversations with his Italian teammates. Donnarumma joined PSG from Milan in 2020 on a free transfer and has made 154 appearances in all competitions for the French champions.
