Gasoline prices are expected to increase by 1,000 - 1,300 VND per liter.

Given the developments in world oil prices in recent days, representatives of many businesses predict that domestic gasoline prices may continue to increase in the management period this afternoon, June 19.

The price of RON95 gasoline may increase by about VND1,300/liter; E5 RON92 gasoline by about VND1,000/liter and diesel by about VND1,100/liter ,” said the director of a petroleum company in the southern region.

Meanwhile, the gasoline price forecast model of the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) shows that in the management session this afternoon, retail gasoline prices may increase sharply by 6.5 - 7.7% if the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade do not set aside or use the price stabilization fund.

Specifically, VPI forecasts that the retail price of E5 RON92 gasoline may increase by VND1,255 (6.5%) to VND20,725/liter, and RON95 gasoline may increase by VND1,317 (6.6%) to VND21,277/liter.

Diesel prices may increase by 6.9% to VND18,921/liter, kerosene by 6.9% to VND18,718/liter, and fuel oil is forecast to increase by 7.7% to VND17,727/kg.

If forecasts are correct, gasoline prices will increase for four consecutive sessions. Currently, this fuel price is still at its lowest level in the past four years, equivalent to May 2021.

Since the beginning of 2025, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 23 adjustment sessions, including 9 decreases, 9 increases and 5 opposite sessions.
