On the afternoon of September 2, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that during the 4-day holiday, the number of visitors to tourist and entertainment areas in Ho Chi Minh City reached about 1.45 million. Of which, international visitors were about 45,600.
The number of guests staying at hotels and motels reached about 300,000; room occupancy rate reached over 87%. Tourism revenue reached 4,140 billion VND. Security, order and safety for tourists at tourist attractions and entertainment areas were ensured.
Update information from Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Cu Chi Tunnels Historical Site, Suoi Tien Tourist Area... crowded with visitors during the holidays.
On this occasion, the Department of Tourism coordinated with businesses to launch a number of tours to visit the historical site of Saigon Special Forces, Uncle Ho's journey to find a way to save the country. At the same time, the tour was connected with modern constructions such as Landmark 81, Saigon River cruise, open-top buses, Water Bus, etc. to attract domestic and foreign tourists.
In the city center, the accommodation and service system launched a series of big promotions: 15-45% discount, free breakfast, spa voucher, shuttle service. Destinations such as Reunification Palace, museums, walking streets, amusement parks... were crowded with tourists; some places exempted or reduced entrance fees.
The festival atmosphere also spread to Binh Duong province (formerly) with the art program "Independent Starlight", three-region food market, circus, EDM, flyboard, rainbow slide at Dai Nam tourist area; entertainment spots in Thu Dau Mot, Thuy Chau, Dau Tieng lake were also packed with people.
Meanwhile, Vung Tau and Ho Tram have become the top choices thanks to their beach advantages, high-class resort services, many 15%-40% promotions and exciting sea sports activities.
Right after the holiday, the Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Fair - ITE HCMC 2025 will create an additional promotional "boost", contributing to spreading the image of a dynamic and friendly city to international friends.
At some shopping malls such as Co.opmart, AEON Mall, MM Mega Market, etc., the number of customers also increased by 1.5-2 times compared to normal days. Some supermarkets and shopping malls opened earlier and closed about 30 minutes later than normal days to serve customers.
Food courts and cinemas are always full. Supermarkets also recorded a sharp increase in purchasing power, ranging from 30% - 60% depending on the item, focusing on processed foods, drinks, confectionery, and gifts.
At the same time, promotional programs and deep discounts to celebrate the holiday were deployed simultaneously, with some places offering discounts of up to 90%...
