Heavy rain still occurs from the North to Nghe An

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today (June 26), in the Northeast, Son La, Hoa Binh , Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain; in the Northwest, there will be less rain.

Total rainfall in this area from 1am on June 26 to 24 hours later was 30-70mm, in some places over 100mm; in the next 24 hours it decreased to 20-40mm, in some places over 60mm.

In addition, today, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Lao Cai, Yen Bai , Ha Giang areas will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate rain, heavy rain with rainfall of 20-40mm, some places over 60mm (thunderstorms will occur mainly in the late afternoon and at night).

From tomorrow (June 27), the weather in the North will still have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain in the late afternoon and at night; sunny days will return; from June 29, some places will be hot.

For the weather in the area from Ha Tinh to Binh Thuan , the Central Highlands and the South today there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate rain, heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30mm, some places over 60mm (the time of thunderstorms is concentrated in the late afternoon and evening).

Heavy rains can cause flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas; beware of heavy rains in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas. Thunderstorms can cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Today, the hot weather in the Central region gradually narrows, still occurring in the area from Quang Binh to Phu Yen with the highest temperature of 35 degrees.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan
