Mbappe returned to training in the session just before the match between Real Madrid and Juventus.
At the same time, speaking at a press conference before the match, coach Xabi Alonso confirmed the French striker's ability to play.
"I'm not sure how long he will play, but it's a very big possibility," said coach Alonso.
Mbappe was hospitalised with acute gastroenteritis ahead of Real Madrid's first match at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. He sat out all three group stage matches, where Real Madrid recorded two wins and one draw.
His return would bring much-needed star appeal to the league, which suffered a major blow when Lionel Messi and Inter Miami were eliminated.

Not only Mbappe, Real Madrid also welcomes the return of key defenders. Coach Alonso confirmed that captain Dani Carvajal and center-back Eder Militao will also start in the upcoming "big match".
Their return eases the burden on new signings Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen, who have started every game so far.
Carvajal has not played since rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and requiring surgery last year.
Coach Alonso, who took over earlier this month, stressed that the team's priority is to build a collective identity.
“We want a team that works as a unit, with 11 players. The collective strength will allow talents like Vinicius, Mbappe, Rodrygo and Bellingham to shine,” he added.
